With five strategic hires, Lombard Odier Investment Managers strengthens distribution in Switzerland
Raphael Kron joins as Head of Institutional Sales for Switzerland; Martin Kazimir joins as Head of Wholesale Switzerland
Lombard Odier Investment Managers ("LOIM") today announces the appointments of five strategic hires in Zurich and Geneva to expand and further strengthen the firm’s distribution platform in Switzerland.
LOIM has appointed Raphael Kron to drive the growth of LOIM’s institutional franchise in Switzerland. Based in Zurich, Raphael brings more than 20 years of investment management experience, most recently from GAM, where he was responsible for institutional business development in Switzerland.
LOIM’s institutional team is further bolstered with the appointments of Valéry Babey and Benoît Piette, based in Geneva. Valéry and Benoît are responsible for the development and servicing of the Institutional Clients business in Suisse Romande. Valéry and Benoît joined LOIM on 1 June and report to Raphael Kron, Head of Institutional Sales for Switzerland.
Valéry brings extensive experience and a deep expertise of the Swiss institutional market, having previously worked at GAM and Julius Baer Asset Management, where he was responsible for the development and servicing of institutional clients in Suisse Romande.
Benoît joins LOIM from MBS Capital Advice, where he was a Senior Consultant. Previously, Benoît was responsible for institutional advisory services at J. Safra Sarasin and was a portfolio manager at the CERN pension fund.
LOIM has appointed Martin Kazimir to propel the growth of LOIM’s wholesale franchise in Switzerland. In his new role, Martin is responsible for strengthening the firm’s distribution proposition with intermediaries, including private banks and wealth managers in Switzerland, as well as coordinating coverage of Global Financial Institutions.
Martin will also focus on promoting LOIM’s market-leading sustainability and thematic propositions across the Swiss wholesale client network. Martin joined LOIM on 1 May and is based in Zurich.
Martin joins LOIM from BlackRock in Zurich, where he worked for more than 13 years, most recently as Deputy Head Wholesale Switzerland and Head of Wealth Wholesale Switzerland. Prior to that, Martin spent five years at Goldman Sachs.
LOIM’s wholesale team is further strengthened with the appointment of Martin Fasel in Zurich. Martin joins LOIM from his family’s business in the automotive sector, where he was in charge of business development, strategy and marketing. Prior to that, Martin worked in roles at BlackRock and Ringier Advertising. Martin joined LOIM on 1 June and reports to Martin Kazimir, Head of Wholesale for Switzerland.
