LOIM launches DOM Global Macro strategy with USD 100 million
key takeaways.
Daily liquidity UCITS strategy that provides exposure to alternative return sources
DOM Global Macro employs a multi-strategy approach to build a well-diversified portfolio across asset classes
Aims to generate positive absolute returns in all market environments.
Lombard Odier Investment Managers ("LOIM") today announces the launch of DOM Global Macro – a new liquid, diversified absolute-return UCITS strategy – as the firm continues to strengthen and expand its Alternatives franchise for institutional and private clients.
Launching with approximately USD 100 million, the DOM Global Macro strategy takes long and short positions across the liquid multi-asset universe, aiming to deliver consistent, positive performance in all market environments.
Recognising that market regimes evolve and correlations can break down, the strategy is designed to successfully navigate periods of market stress while maintaining the potential for attractive returns throughout market cycles. As a complement to traditional portfolios, DOM Global Macro seeks to reintroduce stability and resilience.
The strategy is designed to successfully navigate periods of market stress while maintaining the potential for attractive returns throughout market cycles.
DOM Global Macro employs a multi-strategy approach combining proprietary systematic strategies with discretionary trading to build a diversified portfolio across asset classes with exposure to alternative and uncorrelated return sources outside of conventional equity and bond markets.
Key features of the DOM Global Macro strategy include:
Reliable diversification – displays low correlation to traditional and many non-traditional asset classes
Embedded protection – aims to deliver reliable protection and minimise drawdowns during periods of market stress
Tactical approach – dynamically adapts to market and macro environments and capitalises on idiosyncratic investment opportunities
Accessibility – enabling investors to access liquid alternatives, combining low investment minimums with the safeguards of a UCITS structure
Jean-Pascal Porcherot, Co-Head of LOIM and Managing Partner, Lombard Odier said: “At LOIM, we have deep partnerships with our clients and help them to precisely manage the risks and opportunities that arise across market cycles. With the launch of DOM Global Macro, clients benefit from the team’s extensive expertise managing multi-asset macro strategies that target absolute returns. The launch is an important milestone in strengthening LOIM’s alternatives business, as we expand our range of differentiated strategies that seek to create sustainable value for clients.”
The DOM Global Macro team has more than 75 years of cumulative experience from diverse investment backgrounds, bringing complementary skills across asset classes and systematic and/or discretionary trading. The investment team of five people, led by Valentin Petrescou and Didier Anthamatten, who joined LOIM in April 2024, collectively managed USD 1.8 billion in two former UCITs strategies for the past four years, honing its approach to investing throughout market regimes and periods of heightened volatility.
