Top Morningstar fund rating for Asia Value Bond Fund
Lombard Odier Investment Managers is pleased to announce that the LO Funds–Asia Value Bond fund has gained a five-star rating (highest rating) from Morningstar Ratings, effective January 2017.
Since inception on 7 January 2013 to 31 March 2017, the Fund has generated 6.93% p.a.* with a three-year Sharpe ratio of 1.66, according to Morningstar Ratings.
The Fund’s high conviction approach seeks to generate alpha by selecting and evaluating individual opportunities across corporate, financial and government bond segments. The Fund avoids unattractive segments of the bond market, where bonds can either be too low-yielding or pose credit deterioration risk. The fund is UCITS compliant and invests only in cash bonds with no use of leverage.
Morningstar Ratings are performance-based, bringing load-adjustments, performance (returns) and risk together into one evaluation.
To determine a fund's star rating for a given time period (three, five, or 10 years), the fund's risk-adjusted return is plotted on a bell curve. Funds scoring in the top 10% of the relevant category receive the maximum five- star rating. The Overall Morningstar Rating is a weighted average of the available three-, five-, and 10-year ratings, where applicable.
