Net zero is an inevitable end-state for our economy that will transform most industries. We believe investors need to understand how to navigate the associated transition risks, identify opportunities and demonstrate portfolio alignment to long-term decarbonisation.

In our recent webinar, ‘Rethink net zero’, we explored two prominent approaches to equity and fixed-income investment in this transition. We compared low-carbon methodologies, based on carbon footprints, with forward-looking strategies that harness implied temperature rise metrics, which assess long-term net-zero alignment and portfolio temperature. We also assessed the tangible outcomes of climate-focused allocations on a typical multi-asset portfolio.
